Service Support Representative 

Lighthouse Marine Equipment represents many of the world’s leading marine equipment suppliers. We are proud to provide excellent sales and support to boat builders, marine stores, the NZ Navy and research vessels.

In the role of Service Support Representitive you will be working closely with a highly qualified marine engineer who heads the Lighthouse team. His experience is in engineering, manufacturing and workshop work, here in New Zealand and overseas, in a variety of areas including heavy machinery, hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems. In recent years he’s specialised in marine engineering, particularly system design for boat builders, marine architects and project managers. In joining our team you join one of New Zealand’s leaders in marine distribution.

Key tasks for the role are:  

• Sales to existing and potential customers.
• Provide technical and engineering support to the business and our customers
• Provide Administration support for the service team

  Key Skills and Attributes required for the role:

• Working knowledge of boats and marine.
• Previous experience in a sales role in a similar industry.
• Able to travel overnight if required
• Confident presentation style
• Familiar with MS Office Suite, ie Excel, Word, with accurate keyboard skills
• Excellent customer service skills to exceed customer expectations
• Able to work flexible hours as required, with availability to work on Saturday as and when required.
• Can work co-operatively in a team and independently
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Can use initiative, follow instructions accurately and seek assistance as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Can work efficient to meet deadlines
• Flexible and willing to carry out varied tasks within capability.
