Katadyn Survivor

KatadynKatadyn Survivor manual desalinator/watermakers are designed for emergency use. They are trusted by militaries and outdoor adventurers the world over. Compact and lightweight, the Katadyn Survivor 06 is the smallest handheld reverse osmosis desalinator in the world. It’s recommended for small emergency life rafts and individual survival kits, but also has applications for kayakers, wilderness campers and other outdoor adventurers. Weighing just 1.13kg, it removes 98% of salt from seawater and has a throughput of 0.89 litres per hour. Katadyn’s larger Survivor 35 model produces up to 4.5 litres of fresh water per hour – enough for multiple person life rafts. Widely used by the US military, the Survivor 35 is hand-pump operated, and like its smaller sibling, supplied with hoses and a filtered water intake. Weighing 3.2kg, it is popular with voyagers, sea-kayakers and adventures as soldiers. Katadyn Survivor handheld desalinators are available through selected marine and camping/outdoor retailers. They are distributed and serviced by Lighthouse Marine Equipment Ltd. Higher capacity Power Survivor electric watermakers (also pictured) complement Katadyn’s manual models.
